“Sleep well, little owl!” by Jana Frey (text) and Christine Kugler (illustrations) is a bedtime story recommended for children aged 2 to 4 years.
You can find out what I think of this bedtime story here.
Sleep well, little owl!
“Sleep we ittle owl!s the first bedtime story I bought for our son
There are a few things about it that I don’t like, but I still recommend it. You’ll find out why in the text below.
What is it about?
Hopps, a little owl girl, has just too much fidgeting in her tiny owl legs. She can’t sleep. She wants to experience so much. But at some point Mama Owl says it’s time to go to bed. But Hopps doesn’t want to.
Will Hopps ever make it to bed and be able to sleep peacefully? And cayman islands mobile database if so, how? The end of the story may be unusual for some. I thought the idea behind it was brilliant! But nothing will be given away at this point.
Our opinion
Our son became interested in this when
he was about a year old and loves to flip through the sturdy pages back and forth. I think the 16 pages are pleasant to read, despite some tongue twisters, and I think they could be a bit longer. I also like the illustrations, which feature lots of different animals and some little jokes.
What I don’t like are the stereotypical depictions. Hopps, restricting data access in ways that disrupt productivity the owl girl: pink. With eyelashes. Her pigtails are tied together with red bows. Hopps likes raspberry ice cream. It couldn’t be more stereotypical.

If you don’t mind that the dormouse has a feather like an anhui mobile phone number list Indian and later wears a nightcap when he goes to sleep, you can just take note of my criticism here and not worry about it any further. Humanizing animals is just not for me.
The little man didn’t care about the clichés. He really enjoys having the book read to him. But he now has some that he prefers.
Conclusion
A topic that interests us all: What to do if the child can’t sleep? Doesn’t want to sleep? I think the solution is very original and have used it from time to time. It will be interesting to see whether Hopps can fall asleep and if so, how she does it.
